Shalini holds a mechanical engineer degree and a management graduate from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai India, has rich experience in Information Technology industry and is also associated with many management institutes.Pursuing her interests in the folk art of India, she is a self taught artist of Madhubani paintings, a popular folk art from Mithila region of North Bihar in India.Her interest in Indian art forms inspired her to explore many more number of art forms and avenues in representation of art forms ranging from paper,cloth, terracota, wood, ceramic and glass apart from traditional paintings on wall.She is one of the promoters of digitalization of Mithila paintings and intends to use the medium for reaching out to a wide base of designers and appreciators.With her unique designs and differentiated hand crafted products she is expanding the horizon of different art forms to different corners of the world.Her interest in these art forms has inspired her to contribute to the promotion of the art forms and spread it at local as well as global level.
